The past Subway Canaries exposes have been very dramatic, and sometimes gut-wrenching, if you truly care about what is going on with your country. Let's have a little fun. I don't know about you, but about six to eight months ago I began to notice WND was maybe - okay let's say it - the Adams Family of 'conservativism'...
They're creepy and they're kooky,
Mysterious and spooky,
They're all together ooky,
The Addams Family.
Their house is a museum
Where people come to see 'em
They really are a scream
The Addams Family.
(Neat)
(Sweet)
(Petite)
So get a witches shawl on
A broomstick you can crawl on
We're gonna pay a call on
The Addams Family.
Yep - that's World Net Daily!
And, as if to reward me, Wow...a WND exclusive....MasterPlan a Favorite with Readers! "
Ted Flynn's compelling book "Hope of the Wicked: Master Plan to the Rule the World, "...quickly has become a WND reader favorite, rising to No. 2 at ShopNetDaily in its first week. Flynn unveils what he calls the greatest deception in modern history – the way corporations, foundations and governments are converging to bring about a New World Order. His book is not mere conjecture and speculation, offering 550 pages with 82 photographs and 1,200 footnotes and a strong historical basis to make the case that a global elite is working to end the sovereignty of nations – including the U.S...."
Brought to you by Shop Net Daily! Look at a list of the books they are peddling - we're talking...
Brotherhood of Darkness - exposing the Trilaterials! Wow! "...The story told in this book is incredible but true. It is a story of secret societies, how they have directed the course of civilization, and how they influence our lives today. The average person has been conditioned to reject any thought of such organizations. Very few of us have heard of the esoteric societies and arcane organizations that are discussed in this book. Their existence has been cleverly concealed from public scrutiny, but American surgeon and author, Dr. Stanley Monteith, reveals the amazing facts he discovered in his almost 40 years of international travel, research and tenure in South Africa. He reveals the identity of the mysterious forces behind the men who rule the world, and why some of our leaders have dedicated their lives to destroying our nation by bringing it under the control of a corporate elite designed to force us to surrender our national sovereignty. This story could change your life forever. It will change the way you look at the world and inspire you to join the spiritual battle that is currently being waged to determine the course of Western civilization...."
The Pillar of Enoch there is nothing I like better than Fringe archaeology...but this..."..The documentary makes the compelling case that the Giza plateau pyramids were not built and utilized by fourth dynasty Egyptian kings as funerary structures or tombs. It is a matter of archaeological fact that none of the fourth dynasty kings put their names on the pyramids supposedly constructed in their times, yet all other pyramids of Egypt had hundreds of official inscriptions, leaving us no doubt about which kings built them. Even those archaeologists who still stubbornly subscribe to the “tomb theory” of the pyramid do not believe that a queen or anyone else was ever buried in the limestone chamber. Mysterious legends and records tell of watermarks that were clearly visible on the limestone casing stones of the Great Pyramids suggesting that the Great Pyramid existed before the pharaohs during the great flood of Noah’s time. Although much research remains to be done in these areas, legend, archaeology, mathematics, and earth sciences seem to indicate that the Great Pyramid was a monumental device for gathering knowledge and information to be revealed and decoded at a latter time for the spiritual benefit of human beings.." Let's face it, any decent conspiricy loving kook knows the Great Pyramid was built by aliens (illegal I might add) to enable communication with other worlds! Lord have mercy! Farah needs to get his nut-cases cracked properly!
Move over Dan Brown...WND brings you..The Yeshua Code. "When news of the complex codes hidden in the Hebrew text of the Old Testament first reached the West, scientists and Bible scholars were shocked and astounded. Many were skeptical at first, but sophisticated investigations proved the validity of the techniques used by scientist in Israel. The codes revealed not only detailed information about people and places in ancient times, but names and dates of history–making events in our own day. And from beginning to end, they reveal the identity of God's anointed Messiah interwoven in every book of prophecy and on virtually every page of Scripture..."
Then, you can find out how illegals are threatening our very borders...are they from Mexico or....dodododododododo....another planet? Does Farah know the difference? Has he ever met anyone from Mexico? Or better still - has he ever met anyone from another planet? I swear when we are dealing with people like Tancredo, Simcox, Tanton, Gilchrist we are dealing with non-human life forms!
Hope for the Wicked, the Master Plan to Rule the World! sorry - but I don't think we're going to find anything about bigfoot in it. But you fill find the following.........."In this well-documented book, readers will learn the following:

Do you need an Intellegent Person's Guide to Judaism? "What does it mean that we are spiritual beings? Can humans bring harmony to their dual spiritual and material nature and achieve success? Rabbi Shmuley Boteach tackles this important issue in another freshly argues book that will stir up debate. Arguing that Judaism possesses a core of wisdom that appeals to Jews and non-Jews alike, Shmuley Boteach rejects Judaism seeking piety in abstractions, in rationalizing injustice and suffering, in explaining the Holocaust away as a punishment for assimilation. He pleads for recognition of the fact that, unlike Christianity, Judaism is not about death or suffering, but primarily about seeking optimism and spirituality. Judaism is a religion with a profound earthward orientation and is uniquely suited to modern-day men and women who desire professional success without starving their souls. In a modern world riddled with angst, this book will have an amazingly positive impact on how our relation to society should be understood..."
Then, the advertising...do you need a mood pill? Are you suffering from mood swings, anxiety, stress, nervousness, a bad temper, excessive sleeping (If only I could suffer from that one!) Insomnia, uncontrolled crying, sadness, or frequent headaches....Wow, WND says you are bi-polar and need a natural form of lithium! Next thing we know they will be peddling snake-oil that is 99.9 proof.
This is all from today's Page Two. No tabloid would be successful without a sex expose - don't worry, WND has one for you today - the teacher-student sex! Yearbook Genitals Prompt Lawsuit! (where do they find this stuff - someone needs to be googling a few interesting words!) And on the same page - you can buy the perfect Passover gift - a compass that points to Jerusalem. (I'm not making this up) 3 Wyoming College Students Found Dead, (headline differs from the actual story) Kids Starving, Adoptive Parents Charged, And then...the End of Private Property? And a perfect tabloid article about Diana sleeping with some woman's husband. You can't have a tabloid without a Princess Di article! Then we have an ad for the book exposing the trilaterials.
Then an Indy car crew chief says this product is incredible in your car!
ConWebWatch has an expose on some of WND's marketing practices. "...Despite editor Joseph Farah's insistence that his website follows the "highest editorial standards and practices," ConWebWatch has repeatedly documented that -- from plagiarism to undisclosed conflicts of interest to biased (by commission and omission) reporting -- it doesn't. WND's unusually cozy relationship with ADF is yet another example, reminiscent of its similarly symbiotic (and undisclosed) relationship with Talk Radio Network and its founders...." And from another article, "...In addition to reporters like Dougherty and Klein, WND has a long history of deceitful journalism; from outright lies to whopping imbalance to false stories to embracing convicted felons, WND has done it all -- it can't even tell the truth about itself. And, following the example its founder has set, WND's news staff regularly steals news copy from others and claims it as its own. It has had to apologize for stealing copy on at least one occasion."
Debbie Schlussel says WND 'stole' her work.
ConWebDaily has a piece about Farrah and South Africa. This raises questions for me because the White Supremicists are always harping about South Africa.
A distortion about Education - from a Conservative who agreed with a little of what WND wrote, but not all. "The World Net Daily article quoted above was drawn from information provided by Assist Ministries in its
The Sierra Times had a problem with one of WND's 9/11 articles. "...Sierra Times.com notified World Net Daily, among the most respected Internet News publications, privately in the early hours of February 28 of the gross errors in the timeline of American Airlines Flight 11 prior to this report. The attention given to this matter is solely based on preserving historic records of September 11, 2001, as the accounts speculated and reported by WND could be used by radical political organizations to further their own agenda. The report details a highjacker wielding a firearm during the takeover of the American Airlines flight from Boston. WND reported on February 28 that although American Airlines denied providing the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) any details of a shooting on board the doomed flight, that WND reported, "it is not likely a mistake, as claimed, and the government and the airline may be denying the existence of a gun aboard the plane out of fear of being sued by Sept. 11 victims' families, reports a former veteran FAA special agent familiar with the memo and its source." WND does illustrate how both the FAA and American Airlines denied knowledge of the document - one saying it was never sent, and the other saying it never was received. Sierra Times questions the authenticity of the document as a whole..." And the Sierra Times is definately conservative.
I just think WND is sometimes strange. A perfect example of this is Vox Day the incredibly offensive punk libertarian WND columnist Vox Day. For one thing he doesn't approve of women voting nor women's rights! Try this WND column "...In fact, I very much like women and wish them well, which is precisely why I consider women's rights to be a disease that should be eradicated. For what is rather more difficult to dismiss are the simple and easily verifiable facts that indicate women have seldom been less able to pursue their dreams and less able to achieve their desires than today, the Golden Age of Feminism. Consider the two great laments of the modern American woman. For the unmarried woman, it is the reality that she must marry later in life than ever before, if she is able to marry at all. For the married woman, it is that unlike generations of women before her, she cannot afford to stay home with her children unless she is fortunate enough to have married to a man of the financial elite. Both of these developments can be traced directly to women's rights. Men's increasing unwillingness to marry stems primarily from two causes -- the feminized family court system that transformed marriage from a mutually beneficial contract into a financial and emotional liability, and the removal of paternal responsibility for the sexual behavior of young women. Ergo, the need for marriage has been eliminated while its liabilities have increased. As Blue America and de-Christianizing Europe increasingly show, in the absence of religion there is now very little impetus for marriage." To blame the problems of Europe on feminism is....well...I'll just quote the Prez and we will let it go. Then check out the photo on that page - about dating services!
Terry Krepel keeps an eye on WND in his ConWeb Watch ...He has an expose of 'Vox Day' "So Vox Day isn't his real name after all. We learn through World O'Crap,Bartholomew's Notes on Religion and Unscrewing the Inscrutable that the real name of the WorldNetDaily columnist is, apparently, the decidedly less U2-esque Theodore Beale. And he apparently has had quite a career under his real name -- he is authoring the "Eternal Warriors" fantasy series based on what he calls "the Christian concept of spiritual warfare," as well as a former member of the industrial-techno band Psykosonik. And just as Beale's site fails to mention Vox Day, Vox's site fails to mention Beale.Pretty impressive resumé, ...WND interview with Beale that says nothing about his alter ego, even though it's conducted by Tom Ambrose, WND's commentary page editor, where "Day's" weekly column appears. (Beale does try to keep up appearances, though: "Vox" has a bad Mohawk, Beale does not.) Even more intriguing are Beale/Day's family connections. A June 2003 WND story .. But it's not until we get to the end of the story that we discover the apparent main reason for the story: "By way of disclosure, Robert Beale is a board member and stockholder in WorldNetDaily.com."The story links to a Web site that details Beale's complaints. The site's designer? His son, Theodore Beale, who apparently lives in Italy."
The most outrageous of 'Vox Day' WND comments is as follows, "Dear Jorge plans to address the nation tonight, a speech wherein he will almost surely attempt to deceive citizens into believing that he does not wish the mass migration from Mexico to continue unabated. He will likely offer some negligible resources for law enforcement and border security – resources which will never materialize – in return for an amnesty program that will grant American citizenship to the Mexican nationals who have helped lower America's wage rates by 16 percent over the last 32 years. ...And he will be lying, again, just as he lied when he said: "Massive deportation of the people here is unrealistic – it's just not going to work." ...But apparently today's column gave numerous double-digit IQs the vapors, as they were unable to ascertain that the IDENTIFICATION, FORCED TRANSPORTATION and MURDER of six million Jews in four years by the National Socialists proves that President Bush was absolutely incorrect - and presumably lying - when he stated that IDENTIFYING and FORCIBLY TRANSPORTING twelve million illegal aliens was not possible. ...Quite clearly, it is. As for those who find all mention of the National Socialists or the Holocaust inherently beyond the pale, I am certainly open to hearing any suggestions that similarly prove the case. Has anyone else besides the National Socialists been identifying and transporting millions of people lately? Does anyone else put the lie to Dear Jorge? And if not, do we simply pretend that it never happened and that there are no lessons to be learned from it? Wasn't the whole point of the Shoah documentaries and the survivor recordings and the Holocaust museums to make sure that no one ever forgot?..."
The only way I can explain some of this joker is to quote extensively: First - Bartholomew's notes on religion in Salon.
"It's pretty clear to me that one of the most destructive forces in our society has been women's suffrage. Women consistently and reliably turn towards government as a solution for perceived problems, which creates more intractable problems, which then is used to justify more government intervention. This process is unlikely to stop until the entire edifice collapses of its own weight.
The answer, therefore, is to ban women from voting. Previously, Vox Day has outlined his Middle East peace plan:
The Israeli government must announce to the world a unilateral ceasefire, balanced by the deadly promise that for every Israeli soldier killed, 25 Palestinian police will die. For every civilian, 100 non-combatant Palestinian adults will be slain, and for every child, 1000 adults... In a fallen world, violence does solve some problems, and at times extreme violence is required.
So who is he? According to his website
He is a member of the SFWA [Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America], Mensa and the Southern Baptist Convention, and has been down with Madden [?] since 1992. His weekly column is syndicated nationally by Universal Press Syndicate.
His biggest claim to fame as Vox Day, however, is as contributor to WorldNetDaily. But for one so willing to stand tall and say what must be said (while looking incredibly “hard”), his site tells us nothing about who he actually is.
Luckily, Unscrewing the Inscrutable (which provided that quote about Israel/Palestine) has gathered a number of links that demonstrate that Vox Day is actually Theodore Beale, author of a computer game and a couple of fantasy novels published by Pocket Books. Beale’s father Robert, who developed a highly successful computer business, founded the Christian Coalition in Minnesota and sits on WorldNetDaily’s board.
A website devoted to Christian Science Fiction and Fantasy features an interview with Vox Day/Beale, where he talks about his former atheism and conversion back to Christianity. He also informs us:
I'm now a Southern Baptist, albeit one heavily influenced by the warfare theology taught by Dr. Greg Boyd, to whom [Beale’s novel] "The World in Shadow" is dedicated. I'm a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church, and I also have strong ties to Woodland Hills Church, where Dr. Boyd teaches.
Greg Boyd’s Christus Victor Ministries explains warfare theology further:
The warfare worldview is based on the conviction that our world is engaged in a cosmic war between a myriad of agents, both human and angelic, that have aligned themselves with either God or Satan. We believe this worldview best reflects the response to evil depicted throughout the Bible. For example, Jesus unequivocally opposed evils such as disease, demonization, and even natural disaster (i.e. Jesus rebuked the storm) as originating in the wills of Satan, fallen angels, and sinful people, rather than of God.
Greg Boyd and counselor, Al Larson have designed an innovative approach to personal transformation and counseling called Theosynergistic Neuro-Transformation (TNT). This approach has proven remarkably effective in helping people overcome psychological and spiritual disorders such as phobias, addictions, and traumatic experiences. Christus Victor Ministries has teamed up with Dynamics of Growth, Inc. (Al Larson) to promote this novel approach to personal transformation and counseling.
Boyd has degrees from Minnesota University, Yale and the Princeton Theological Seminary, and promotes “open view” theism, in which the future is not determined. The future is open, and will unfold according to how he and humans fight against Satan. Two of his books are entitled God at War: The Bible and Spiritual Conflict and Satan and the Problem of Evil: Constructing a Trinitarian Warfare Theodicy. However, although broadly conservative, he’s no stickler: according to his church’s website,
The people who make up Woodland Hills Church have various theological perspectives and diverse backgrounds. As Greg (our Senior Pastor) says, ‘We agree on enough to get the job done.’ That's our policy. We do not exclude anyone on the basis of a different view on baptism, gifts of the spirit, predestination vs. freewill or any other matter of honest theological disagreement among members of the Church.
Okay, what's the deal about WND and Newsmax both being in bed with Moon? I don't like this one at all. "News World Communications is the owner of the conservative Washington Times, the conservative Insight newsmagazine and the wire service United Press International (whose highest-profile client is NewsMax; former Washington Times and UPI editor Arnaud de Borchgrave sits on NewsMax's board of directors). News World is controlled by the Unification Church, headed by Sun Myung Moon, who used to be widely criticized as a cult leader before he started spreading his millions around conservative causes."
One of the things that has bothered me on WND is the relationship with TT (Tom Tancredo). Well, Terry Krepel of Con Web Watch has investigate that one. Did you know WND is publishing that much heralded TT book on immigration? "...Additionally, WND has failed to disclose its business relationships with ...Tancredo, but WND has not disclosed that relationship in articles featuring or quoting them.......WND's record on Tancredo -- whom it has touted for president -- is similar in both number and level fawning: eight news articles mentioning or quoting Tancredo (here, here, here, here, here, here, here and here) since Jan. 1 that fail to mention his WND book deal. Among them is an April 4 article trumpeting that Tancredo "is a Republican favorite for president for the second year in a row in a non-scientific poll modeled after the NCCA [sic] basketball tournament." Additionally, two of those WND articles -- as well as seven others in November and December 2005 (here, here, here, here, here, here and here) -- were written by Jon Dougherty, the coauthor of Tancredo's book, a fact that also went undisclosed. Dougherty also wrote a Nov. 18, 2005, column that began, "I wonder if Tom Tancredo ever gets tired of being right"; no, Dougherty didn't disclose his relationship with Tancredo there, either..."
Just who are the people behind WND, Joseph Farah, and the much publicized campaign to get a Congressional Press Pass?
Who is David Kupelian? (Again from Con Web Watch) Note how WND promotes one of their own: "....Of the 14 people in the article quoted as praising the book, five -- Michelle Malkin, Hal Lindsey, David Limbaugh, Laura Schlessinger and Rebecca Hagelin -- are current WND columnists, six others -- Judith Reisman, Ted Baehr, Robert Knight, Don Wildmon, D. James Kennedy and Daniel Lapin -- have had articles published by WND on a regular basis and/or are regularly quoted in WND articles; one -- Gary DeMar -- has written a book that WND sells, one -- Michael Farris -- spoke at a conference that also featured WND editor Joseph Farah as a speaker; and one -- Joseph Farah -- runs the company that published Kupelian's book..."
And Con Web Watch exposes the power behind World Net Daily, and I don't like it. Ray Masters has founded a 'cult' religion called the Foundation of Human Understanding. One of the things they promote was exposed by Geraldo years ago. Masters was so furious, he vowed to take revenge against 'liberal' media. "...A July 1992 episode of Geraldo Rivera's TV show featured a former FHU member who said of the group: "The role of women is to be very submissive, quiet, never questioning, not thinking, no decisions." The ex-wife of one of Roy Masters' sons denounced Masters on a 1999 TV show, citing a "long history of Masters' denigration of women.." This also answers more than a few questions I've had about WND.
"...Masters founded (and was, until 2003, president of) talk-show syndicator Talk Radio Network -- responsible for conservative radio hosts such as Michael Savage, Laura Ingraham and Tammy Bruce, as well as new acquisition Mancow; Masters has his own TRN-syndicated show as well. The FHU is officially TRN's owner, Masters' son, Mark, is now president....The most direct connection between WorldNetDaily and Masters is David Kupelian, WND's vice president and managing editor. In the early 1990s, Kupelian was managing editor of a Masters-published magazine called New Dimensions. ...Masters sold New Dimensions in April 1992 to a group headed by Lee Bellinger...Joseph Farah served for a time as its editor-in-chief, a tenure that apparently started after the sale.WND has had a symbiotic relationship with TRN's hosts over the years. WND published Savage's firsttwo books. WND's Aaron Klein makes regular appearances on Rusty Humphries' TRN show. Former TRN executive vice president Bob Just is a WND columnist and editor-at-large for Whistleblower. Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson -- whose claims WND has unquestioningly publicized and whose book WND published (he's also a member of WND's speakers bureau) -- has credited Masters for setting him on his current path of conservative activism and at one point co-hosted a radio show with Masters. A January 2000 WND article notes that TRN "can also be accessed directly from WorldNetDaily" by way of a "'Talk Radio Network' banner on left side of page one."Masters also was a part owner of the company that syndicated graveyard-shift radio conspiracy promoter Art Bell; Kupelian served as editor of Bell's newsletter for two years..." Anyone who has been listening to any of these shows for some time has probably noted the extreme anti-immigration stance. In other words, the Masters' empire is responsible for much of the anti-Bush and extreme anti-immigration rhetoric on the air!
And Con Net Watch also did this piece about how WND is lying about anti-immigration polls....which I have been saying for ages. "...A May 13 WorldNetDaily article on for House speaker Newt Gingrich's views on immigration states: Gingrich, who will appear on NBC's "Meet the Press" tomorrow, cited a recent poll released by Zogby and the Center for Immigration Studies showing overwhelming support – 65% to 30% – for the House bill, a measure that emphasizes enforcement. But, as Media Matters reports, this poll is misleading because it misrepresented both the House immigration measure and the competing Senate measure to respondents. It soft-pedaled the harsher aspects of the House bill and failed to tell respondents about the enforcement provisions in the House measure. Additionally, the Senate version described in the Zogby poll was superceded by a compromise proposal with somewhat altered provisions 10 days before Zogby took its poll, but Zogby notes only the original version and doesn't mention the compromise. Additionally, WND fails to describe the Center for Immigration Studies as an anti-immigration group with an interest in passing the harsher House version of the bill -- and thus, paying for a poll that shows support for it. As Media Matters also noted, most other polls on the issue run counter to Zogby's conclusions. .."
Seriously, Joseph Farah has,for the past year, used WND to undermine the Prez and to support the likes of Pat Buchanan. Farah has even called for the impeachment of GWB. "...Pat Buchanan, former communications director to President Ronald Reagan, former presidential candidate and WND commentator, has come to the conclusion that a courageous Republican legislator should move a bill for impeachment of President Bush.
I reluctantly agree – and for the same reasons.
President Bush has had nearly five years in office to honor his oath of office and enforce immigration laws in this country.
He has not only failed, he has intentionally neglected this sworn duty, instead claiming he prefers to promote a vague immigration "reform" plan that involved a "guest worker" program that has served as an encouragement to the most massive influx of illegal immigration this country has ever seen..."
People like Buchanan and Farah are the worst the conservative movement has to offer. They are also proof-positive there is absolutly NOTHING Republican about many of them.
