An important correction:

In the post: Fake Leadership Syndrome Part I  I had up a link that does not belong.  It is my mistake and it has been removed. 

I was mistakenly using a connection to the Congressional Liberty Caucus.  It was incorrect and it was my mistake.  I made an incorrect assumption. (assume = ass you me).  I should have investigated something further, but did not.  I trust it will not happen again, but none of us are perfect and it probably will.

The bottom line is we are dealing with something very nasty.  I am suspicious of anyone or anything who is strongly anti-immigration and has ties with any of the major anti-immigration anti-illegal organizations who has any ties with with Greene, Vaguerie, Tancredo, Keyes, Tanton, The Pioneer Fund, FAIR, Numbers USA, the misc. minutemen, and either Buchanan. 

I am so disillusioned with conservative sources, people, and organizations I once considered above reproach, that I now distrust everyone until they can prove they have no inappropriate connections, associations, or completely ignorant of the associations of their associates (if this is the case then stupid is as stupid does).

If on the removed link, any incorrect assumptions were made about perfectly innocent people, I apologize.  I do not apologize for my suspicions or my disgust with any affiliation with a PAC or Lobby that has tentacles back to Tanton and the Pioneer Fund.    Their connections with some of the most unsavory, disgusting, and evil entities in history should taint anyone who remotely embraces any theory, practice, or ideology (no matter how noble or closely associated with national security it might be). 

To use one of my grandmother's favorite phrases, "You lie down with dogs and you get fleas."  I do know those on the conservative end of things are constantly reminding people like Robert Byrd of their past associations.  If you are going to hold liberals to a certain standard, you must be able to maintain that standard for your associations.  Right now, we have more than a few Republicans in the House who cannot do this.  If they do not disavow any association with Tanton, the Pioneer Fund, and the various anti-illegal immigration organizations, no matter how small and how seemingly 'pure' they are, the voters will do it for us.
