Please forgive my posting mess. I am trying to solve the problem but right now I just want to go postal.
Okay, let’s try this again. Last night there was something wrong with Blogharbor’s server. They were having problems over the weekend accepting a larger post on ‘article body’ when I went to do a final posting. Last night I tried 7 times to post, and tweaked it for over an hour. I am hoping it will ‘take’ now. If not, we are going to do some interesting tinkering of links to get a post up and running! Windstream Telecom is enough to turn any giddy elf into the nastiest Scrooge. This DSL slowdown/outage problem has been ongoing since November 20 and Windstream just doesn’t seem to be able to do anything about it. I who knows how much I’ll get done tonight because of the recent outage. It’s a little slow. There are times when I am forced to use my cell card just to get online. We’ve discovered my Blogharbor server is having problems when I compose from Word and then post. The problem is the fact that my DSL blinks on and off so frequently I cannot create a post the ‘normal’ way. The DSL problems have been going on basically since Windstream bought out Valor Telecom back in the summer. The only time I do not have problems online is when I am traveling and not using Windstream. The way the phone lines are here there is no way I can use any other DSL service.
Want to know how you can tell it is getting close to a major party holiday? The blasted garbage disposal is plugged up and I need to go begging for a plumber!
Do you really want me to admit how much I am enjoying the Trek classic reruns over on TVLand. Worst part of it an hour of Star Trek is followed by two of Andy Griffin. Okay, I'll admit, I've become a Mayberry fan.
We had much wind, a dribble of snow, and some very low temps. I stayed in and made chex mix and my cranberry sauce. In an attempt at full disclosure I will admit last night I burned a half popped pan of Jiffy Pop. Let's face it, something is terribly wrong when you can't pop Jiffy Pop without burning it!
Merry Christmas to those of use in
From today’s Opinion Journal’s Political Diary:
"[I]t is worth noting that Muslims were not as blameless in the genocide of the Jews as Ahmadinejad and his ilk would have it. Arabs were, on a small scale, cheerleaders and enablers of the Final Solution. The most famous example was Haj Amin Husseini, the grand mufti of

You need to read Little Green Footballs about Jimmy Carter and the Islamic lobby.
Something I find fascinating is how few entities are discussing the resounding defeat Ahmadinejad received by the hand of his own people. Quite fascinating, actually. One of the few commentaries I’ve seen is over at The Captain’s Quarters. I think one of the most fascinating developments of the past few months is also a resounding slap against the Dem leadership in Congress. How you might ask? Simple, they are so busy pandering to the “Big A” that they’ve neglected to realize that he is grossly unpopular in his own country and unless he becomes a dictator, his governing on borrowed time. Quite simple actually, and once again they have cast their lots with the wrong side. Can they ever get it right? Let’s face it, if even the NYTimes ‘gets it’ the Dems should also. Is it possible this is a nation on the verge of revolution?
Okay, I love this stuff. There’s nothing like paleontology. They found the Cretaceous fossil of a two headed youngster. Cool.
They have found the genetic code for eye color. If eye color (blue & green) are an indicator for melanoma, along with red or blond hair and we have the genetic code for eye color, I wonder how long it will before we can come up with a genetic code for melanoma? They’ve also discovered that families who have instances of it (like mine) have another indicator, premature gray (like mine). If melanoma runs in the family and you are the person who started coloring that white hair before age 35 (like me) then you are the one who may be doomed to get melanoma. Get thee to a dermatologist, every six months for the rest of your life – and you will have a life.
Just what did Sandy Burger do with those documents he pilfered from the National Archives?
History net has a fascinating overview of the Spanish Influenza outbreak in 1918. My grandfather was one of the military survivors.

I am not even doing track-backs on the Strata-Sphere articles today – there are way too many of them – mostly radioactive spy v. radioactive spy.
PRIMARIES 2008
What is it with all these people who think they can run for President. Let’s face facts, anyone who is over 35 and a natural born American can run. Those are the basic qualifications. This sure opens the door for any number of egotistical idiots who think they can save the world.
Why Jim Gilmore? Ask Caucus Cooler? The Giuliani Blog has noticed something quite fascinating with the MSM anointed a ‘frontrunner’. Evidently Giuliani’s fundraising kick-off was a big hit. Race42008 says Brownback is favored by young conservatives. How liberal is Rudy? (not very) McCain is putting together an impressive senior staff.
The Intellectual Dishonesty of
You will ‘love’ the way Red State spins a successful Giuliani into a failure. It just goes to show the intellectual dishonesty of the far right. Read the Newsday version – also lists the fundraiser as a ‘disappointment’. But, read the Wtimes version, found at RCP Then read what Mike Gallagher said over on Cavuto today.
“…A very excited and enthusiastic Gallagher spoke first: "Listen. You get almost a million dollars in one campaign event in
