The burning question of the day is why do the 'protests' against minutemen, et. al Jim Gilchrist becomeviolent but those against Chris Simcox don't?  Is there a reason?  Is Gilchrist up to something.  As I have shown repeatedly here and over at The Pink Flamingo, Gilchrist is not the most truthful person in the world.  The truth is not in him.  It is that plain and simple.  He panders to the RINOconservative right, but yet his roots are with the Green Party.  Why?  He believes in redistribution of wealth and a social state.  Why doesn't he tell this to Hannity and his RINOconservative supporters?  Why won't they bother looking into document alligations about who he really is?  More on the LA Events.  You will need to read the socialist One People's Project (I give it credence because the blogger is an reformed Nazi).  Entirely different story from the one Gilchrist tells on Fox.  Is Gilchrist promoting the violence?

Is Gilchrist lying about MS-13 threatening him as a way to drum up support?  In the previous link from FOX he repeats that MS-13 is involved in violence against the minutemen, et. al.  Why aren't they stalking Simcox?

"NACO, Ariz. -- Members of a violent Central America-based gang have been sent to Arizona to target Minuteman Project volunteers, who will begin a monthlong border vigil this weekend to find and report foreigner sneaking into the United Staes, project officials say.     James Gilchrist, a Vietnam veteran who helped organize the vigil to protest the federal government's failure to control illegal immigration, said he has been told that California and Texas leaders of Mara Salvatrucha, or MS-13, have issued orders to teach "a lesson" to the Minuteman volunteers...."

Now read this board posting about Gilchrist and his MS-13 posturing...

"...Dunno, really . . A guy named Jim Gilchrist was apparenty the author of the idea . . and after publication of the idea and the fact that he was the leader, the Mara Salvatrucha Gang (MS-13) declared war on him and his family . . I'm not sure that was all fact, but . . it can be read, actually the whole saga, on "Digger's Realm" a blogsite. Anyhooo, this brought all the "Militia" types out from under their rocks, and 700-900 of them (estimates vary widely) volunteered to go down there and shoot them "Metsicans" or whoever. Some showed up, I guess. Anyway, of course the Administration didn't want 'em down there so Condy condemned the whole Idea, "W" condemned it when he and Fox were at the Trade Conference in Cananda, and Fox cried the whole weekend about it . . The lawmen and the INS were just "Wild" about the Idea! . . so there's the official end of it. Then a bunch of Protesters, who I call the "Where do they come froms?" showed up and said they were going to "Shadow" the Minutemen" who are supposed to be "Watchers". My prediction at the time was that a Minuteman would probably "Cap" a "Watcher watcher" before they even got to the "Metsicans" . .

Then . . . I saw the Ch 13 News last night . . .

Gotta revise my predictions . . based on my observations, the first fatality will be either . . A Coronary, snakebite or somebody accidentally shoots themselves . . A bunch of couch potatoes, with folding chairs, and automatic pistols . . . Looked like a five day Street Rodder's Event on Sunday Afternoon . . with guns . . . And the leader is some Redneck looking guy, wearing a Red,White and Blue Baseball cap . . A real "Patriot" . . dunno what happened to Gilchrist . . . He probably saw his "Army" and went to Canada . . But in this morning's paper, it said that they had assisted in catching 17 illegals entering the US and one came and turned himself in to them . . Sooooo, that's 18 down, 11 million and . . . .???? to go...."

Simcox at a panel.  No violence.  Will someone please explain why Chris Simcox goes all over the country and there is no violence, but Gilchrist seems to attract it?  Maybe....well, is he involved in the actual violence to attract attention?  Let's fact the facts, before the incident at Columbia, he'd been quiet and ignored.  Okay, I'll say it.  I think he promoted it.

To be fair and balanced, here is a Malkin post about one of the Gilchrist events that went violent.

I don't know about you, but I found Hannity's hystarical coverage of the little Minuteman, et. al. incident at Columbia University just plain fun.  Jim Gilchrist's comment on H&C that he was ready to plant a facer on one of the protesters was also just plain fun.  If the cameras were not rolling, Gilchrist, from his past history, would probably be cowering behind some cop.  Let's face it, the whole thing was tacky, fun, like 50 pink flamingos stuck in my sister's front yard.  She went into orbit.  Interestingly the socialist bunch who orchestrated the whole brawl are quite proud of it.  My question, who threw the first punch.  The socialist kids say the minutemen, et. al did.

"...Regardless of how Gilchrist tries to sanitize his message for national audiences, more candid moments tell the real story. Gilchrist is a member of the California Coalition for Immigration Reform, which is now notorious for referring to Mexicans as "savages." Speaking about Mexicans and Central American immigrants, Minuteman co-founder Chris Simcox once said, "They have no problem slitting your throat and taking your money or selling drugs to your kids or raping your daughter and they are evil people."

This vile racism translates directly into violence on the ground. "It should be legal to kill illegals," said one Minutemen volunteer. "Just shoot 'em on sight. That's my immigration policy recommendation." It is no wonder that neo-Nazi organizations like the National Alliance praise the Minuteman Project in their publications, and have members signing up for Minutemen militias...."

No matter how O'Reilly and Hannity try to sugar coat it and ignore the obvious (It's SPLC, so they don't count, right?) the above statement issued by the young socialists for socialism is true.

The NY Times report on the incident:

"...Mr. Bollinger, a legal scholar whose specialty is free speech and the First Amendment, quickly condemned this week’s disruption. “Students and faculty have rights to invite speakers to the campus,” he said yesterday in an interview. “Others have rights to hear them. Those who wish to protest have rights to do so. No one, however, shall have the right or the power to use the cover of protest to silence speakers.” He added, “There is a vast difference between reasonable protest that allows a speaker to continue, and protest that makes it impossible for speech to continue.” Monique Dols, a senior in history at Columbia’s School of General Studies, said she had mounted the stage in protest and unfurled a banner but that at such events in the past the speakers had kept going. “We have always been escorted off the stage and the event continues,” she said, adding that this time the protesters were attacked. “We were punched and kicked,” she said. “Unfortunately, the story being circulated is that we initiated the violence.”While college campuses have long been battlegrounds for freedom of speech issues, Columbia seems to attract more attention than most when such problems arise, perhaps because of its location in New York and its history of political protest...."

If you also remember, Gilchrist, Hannity, and O'Reilly were quick to blame Hispanic student protesters.  Well, guess what, they weren't involved.  Did you also know members of the Young Republican's Group who sponsored the speech rushed the stage and confronted the Socialist protesters?  According to a NYTimes follow-up article, things may not be as they were explained.

We don’t condone the actions of members on either side,” Adhemir Romero, president of the Chicano Caucus, told The Spectator. “Either people on stage who were holding up signs, or people who felt that their speaker was being threatened by people holding signs.”

Romero freely admits they were organizing protests outside the auditorium but did not take part in the free for all.   The Harvard Crimson has some fair/balanced reporting on the issue. You  need to read this next piece, from Bwog (what ever that is) to find out what may have happened.  It is buried in all the rhetoric. I don't know if it is true.  If it is, the little socialists did not start things.

"...The Minuteman and the students engaged in a tug of war with the banner. More people rush the stage, prompting a fist-fight. One female student is kicked in the head. A guy in a pony tail (definitely not a student) rushes the stage and fights with students (several witnesses saw him kick a student) and then banded together with the Minuteman to shout the pledge of allegiance as the rumble spun out of hand, "One nation! Under God! Indivisible!" ..."

Jim Gilchrist was at his most charming (sarcasm here used).  He was not exactly professional, as he later protrayed himself to Hannity and O'Reilly. You also see the real Gilchrist, the Green Party socialist!

"...Finally the Minuteman himself enters. "Now who're you calling racist?" he shouts, putting his arm around Stewart, who is black. "I love the First Amendment. As soon as you graduate, you'll all be investment bankers. I've been where you at. I know you hate yourselves."

Importantly, is this a pattern?  Did Gilchrist set the whole thing up for violence?  From Counterpunch, read this terribly biased and liberal article.  Do you see any similiarities?

"...Penny: We go to trial April 25th. The state has shown in a number of hearings that they are serious about jail time for trumped-up charges on protestors acting peacefully and symbolically. And something we're learning is that people who protest the Minutemen are being attacked across the country: in Vermont, the head of this vigilante group labeled peaceful demonstrators "domestic terrorists" and this got picked up by mainstream media, and in California one of the Minutemen drove a car through a picket line, knocking people down, and nothing was done for over half an hour (and eventually anti-Minutemen protestors were arrested and given felony charges.) So we see our case, and rallying to the defense of the Anti-Minutemen 5 as a crucial way to stand up in opposition to the Minutemen. And on that basis, we're finding lots of support but we still need to raise upwards of $10,000 in legal fees (address for donations below) and need to have the real deal on the Minutemen much more broadly understood, including our case. We also need letters of support and demands that the charges be dismissed sent to the judge and state's attorney right away..."

One wonders what it is going to take to prove to the RINOconservatives that the above mentioned neo-nazis, KKK, and white supremicists are indeed deeply involved in the whole anti-immigration movement and are deeply involved within the minutemen, et. al.  The most recent article in ePluribus Media goes over the whole tacky thing, once again.  They link to Orcinus, where he shows the Nazi flag at the minutemen, et. al. rally last year.

"...A Live Journal account gives a quick overview of what occurred:
Save Our State and founder of the Minutman project Jim Gilchrist organized the protest at the Day Labor Center to oppose the hiring of day laborers by city residents two weeks after some members of SOS attended an unofficial rally at the Laguna Beach Arts Festival. There they protested the event's contribution through rental space sale to city coffers, which in turn pays out $21,000 to the group that operates the Center. That original anti-immigrant protest organizer, known as OCAngel, has publicly disassociated herself from the Minutman Project/S.O.S. after neo-Nazis stood with S.O.S. members threatened her due to her Jewish background
...."

The SPLC has linked Gilchrist's bunch with the whole Nazi thing.  Just because the SPLC can buy most RINOconservative organizations, combined, and just because it is liberal is not an indicator that their reports are not documented.  As linked above, several weeks ago The Subway Canaries did an expose on the SPLC.  Can't find much of anything dirty.

"...On April 2, as the month-long effort got under way, the Minuteman Project held a protest across the street from the U.S. Border Patrol headquarters in Naco, Ariz. Prominent among the demonstrators were two men who confided that they were members of the Phoenix chapter of the National Alliance — the largest neo-Nazi group in America. One of the two, who sat in lawn chairs throughout, held a sign with arrows depicting invading armies of people from Mexico — a sign identical to National Alliance billboards and pamphlets, except without the Alliance logo.

The presence of Alliance members was not much of a surprise, and there were likely more than that pair. "We're not going to show up as a group and say, 'Hi, we're the National Alliance," Alliance official Shaun Walker told a reporter in the run-up to the protest. "But we have members ... that will participate."

In fact, National Alliance pamphlets were distributed in Tombstone and this predominantly Hispanic community just two days before the Minuteman Project got going. "Non-Whites are turning America into a Third World slum," they read. "They come for welfare or to take our jobs. Let's send them home now."

Many other white supremacists had promised to attend, including members of the neo-Nazi Aryan Nations, but it was difficult to know if they showed up.

One well-known extremist did appear. Armored in a flak jacket and packing a .38-caliber snub-nosed revolver, Joe McCutchen joined other volunteers patrolling the barbed wire fence separating the United States and Mexico near Bisbee, Ariz.

McCutchen is the recently appointed chairman of Protect Arkansas Now, a group seeking to pass legislation that would deny public benefits to undocumented workers in that state. More to the point, he was identified by the white supremacist Council of Conservative Citizens as a member in 2001 — a charge he denies, though he admits that he did give a speech that year to the group that has described blacks as "a retrograde species of humanity." As recently as summer 2003, McCutchen wrote anti-Semitic letters to his hometown newspaper in Fort Smith, Ark...."

The evidence is there.  It is documented.  Hannity, O'Reilly, Gilchrist and Simcox are the ones who are not being open, above-board, up-front...i.e. for some strange reason they are not telling the whole truth, just their edited versions of it.

The ePluribus Media article mentions Eileen Garcia, who is active with SOS.  Thing is, Ms. Garcia is also active with a few other organizations.  Check out the photos.  She is the blond in the blue T-shirt.  You need to check this article, also.

James Chase, who was one of the original minutemen, et. al. has left the organization.
